56 Days Of South Pacific Dreaming- A Journey I'll Never Forget
Some journeys stay with you long after you’ve returned home. Not just because of the places you visited, but because of the people you shared them with — and the memories you made along the way. Our journey through the South Pacific was one of those journeys.
At that time, it was simply another adventure for my husband and me. We cruised through some of the most beautiful islands in the world, discovered new places, tasted new foods, met wonderful people, and enjoyed those quiet moments at sea that we had come to love.
At that time, we had no idea how significant that journey would become and that this would be our last cruise together.
Just one week after we returned home, Bert was hospitalized. Life changed in a way neither of us could have imagined, and eventually, I had to say goodbye to the man who had been my partner in so many of life’s adventures.
Looking back now, that South Pacific journey means so much more to me. I treasure the memories of that cruise more than I ever could have imagined. The photographs I took are no longer simply pictures of beautiful islands and turquoise waters. They are pieces of life we shared— places we stood together, meals we enjoyed, conversations we had, and moments that I didn’t know at that time would become precious memories.
Through this series, I want to take you along on that journey —not simply to show you beautiful beaches and spectacular scenery, but to share the places, experiences, food, culture, and little discoveries that made the South Pacific so unforgettable for us.
Because sometimes, we don’t realize we’re living a special moment until we look back!
So this isn’t just a collection of travel stories about the South Pacific. It is a little piece of our journey together.
Welcome to the South Pacific. Come travel With Me!
